About Me

I live in Derbyshire close to the edge of the beautiful Peak District. 

I love walking in the countryside with my partner, Peter and our little dog Pickles, taking photographs that can later be used in my silk creations.

The countryside and the natural world have been a constant inspiration. In fact, before I could write my alphabet I was drawing rainbows!

I began working as a fully qualified dispensing optician in 1994. From the beginning, I used my eye for colour and style to find the perfect frame for each customer – a skill I developed further through a Seasonal Colour Analysis Course with Kim Bolsover in 1999.

More recently, I began making hand painted silk scarves and almost immediately, hit upon the idea of matching them to individual spectacle frame designs.

I sent samples of my work to Johann Von Goisen in Austria and was thrilled to receive praise and promotional support from this innovative designer/manufacturer. 

Like me, they are inspired by nature and offer hand-made design and quality to the wearer who ‘dares to be different’…..
